Colt-starting competition

The Collegiate Horseman’s Association will host the Forever West Colt-starting Competition on Sunday, April 21, in the Laramie County Community College’s College Arena. This competition is an invitational for equine students who go to college in the region.

Each student will get a young, unbroken horse and will have the day to train the horse. The doors will open at 9 a.m. with the competition running from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. General admission is $3 and children 12 and under can attend for free. Door prizes and a silent auction will benefit the LCCC equine program.

On Friday, April 26, the LCCC program will host the end of year equine open house. All are invited to attend and support the equine students. A lunch will be at 11:30 a.m., and the program will begin at 1 p.m.
