March 28

Found/returned property

A college staff member contacted Campus Safety and reported that a purse had been found in the Library. The Campus Safety officer was able to identify the owner of the purse and returned it to the owner March 29.

March 28

Suspicious person

A faculty member contacted Campus Safety and expressed concern about an individual who was using the courtesy telephone in the hallway in the Arp Building. The Campus Safety Officer located the individual, obtained personal information and completed a contact card. The officer confirmed the individual had a legitimate reason to be on campus.

April 1

Vehicle accident

A faculty member contacted Campus Safety and reported another motorist’s vehicle had damaged her parked vehicle. The vehicle was parked on the north side of the Health Science Building/Parking Lot B. The complainant declined the offer of a law enforcement report, and Campus Safety completed an incident report.

April 4

Disturbance complaint

Campus Safety received a complaint concerning a disturbance outside the Residence Hall in Parking Lot R (east main entrance). Campus Safety officers, Residence Life staff and Laramie County Sheriff’s deputies investigated the complaint. The incident involved a verbal dispute and the deputies departed campus with no action necessary, and Campus Safety completed an incident report.

April 9

Traffic accident

April 10, a student contacted Campus Safety and reported her vehicle had accidentally struck a stop sign on campus April 9. The stop sign was located at the North Parking Lot near Auto Diesel. Campus Safety completed an incident report, and Physical Plant made all necessary repairs to the campus signage.

April 12–13

Vandalism

April 13 Campus Safety was contacted by a student who reported someone had scratched his vehicle, which was parked in the East Parking Lot. The damage was reported to have occurred sometime between 10:30 p.m. on April 12 and 8:30 a.m. on April 13. The Laramie County Sheriff’s office was notified and completed a report as did Campus Safety.

April 14

Alcohol violation

Campus Safety was contacted by staff from Residence Life concerning an alcohol violation in the Residence Hall. The Laramie County Sheriff’s office dispatched deputies to the scene, and two individuals were cited by the deputies for minor in possession. The sheriff’s deputies and Campus Safety completed incident reports.

April 15

Recovered property

An LCCC staff member recovered a set of keys in the Arp Building, Room 128. Being unable to locate the owner of the keys, the Campus Safety Officer completed an Incident Report and secured the keys in the department’s property locker.

April 16

Found property

A Campus Safety officer found a key in the multipurpose room. Being unable to locate its owner, the officer completed an Incident Report and secured the key in the departmental property locker.

April 18

Lost property

A student reported she had lost her wallet at an unknown location on campus. The Campus Safety officer assisted the complainant by retracing the various locations at which she had been on campus. The officer completed an incident report.

April 19

Burglary

Campus Safety was contacted by a student who reported someone had removed his lock from his locker in the men’s P.E. locker room and taken some of his property. He said he had locked his locker at noon and returned to it at 2:30 p.m. Upon his return, he discovered the lock was missing, and the contents of his wallet had been taken. Campus Safety notified the Laramie County Sheriff’s office, and a deputy completed a report. The sheriff’s office is continuing its investigation.

April 19

Larceny

An LCCC staff member contacted Campus Safety and reported someone had taken his wallet from his coat, which had been located in the Fine Arts Building. The staff member stated he had placed his coat in a workroom closet at about 3 p.m. and locked the door. At approximately 5 p.m., the staff member unlocked and propped the closet door open. Upon returning at approximately 9:45 p.m., the complainant reported his wallet and a package of cigarettes were missing. Later in the evening, the complainant found his wallet in a restroom, which is located in the Fine Arts Building. He reported currency was missing from his recovered wallet. Campus Safety contacted the Laramie County Sheriff’s office, and a deputy was dispatched to campus and completed an incident report. The sheriff’s office is continuing its investigation.

April 20

Recovered property

A Campus Safety officer found a debit card in the West Residence Hall. As of this time, Campus Safety is attempting to contact the owner of the card.
