Golden Eagles devastating loss

Laramie County Community College’s men’s basketball team lost in devastating fashion at home Nov. 19 against the Plainsmen of Northeastern Junior College (5-2).

By halftime, Northeastern had a 14-point lead at 44-30. The Golden Eagles made only 26 more points in the second half. Northeastern scored 40 points, which solidified the win 84-56.

Small forward Kamari Robinson had 10 points, eight rebounds and three assists. Freshman power forward Tyson Kanseyo had 10 points, six rebounds and two assists.

LCCC shot 16-of-60 from the field, or 26.7 percent. The team went 6-for-19 from the field, or 31.6 percent. The Eagles also turned the ball over 15 times in the loss. 

LCCC (5-2) will face Lamar Community College (2-4) in Lamar, Colorado, Nov. 21 followed by a four-day layoff until its next game against Central Wyoming College (4-3) in Riverton Nov. 25.
