NYU graduate hired as new LCCC institutional projects coordinator

Laramie County Community College has new plans for the development and execution of its projects and hired a new institutional projects coordinator.

The college wants its various developments across campus to be better planned and prepared, in short, “more formal,” new coordinator Janet Webb said.

Webb’s job is to track and review different projects and take into account details of each phase of the projects. She can then use that information to give future projects a better approach, allowing them to be completed with increasing efficiency.

The projects that Webb said she works on include the introduction of new software and the creation of new divisions or departments.

For an example, she mentioned the Center for Teaching and Learning, which handles the professional development of staff and faculty, began as a project.

Before LCCC, Webb worked at Central Wyoming College and full time at New York University, managing the undergraduate general education curriculum. She obtained both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees at NYU.

If anyone has questions about what she does or has an idea about how they can be involved in projects, Webb said they are free to visit her in her office in the Center for Conferences and Institutes, Room 125, or call 778-1362 or reach her by email at
