Womens baketball lost first game on Tuesday

The Laramie County Community College women’s basketball team (0-3) lost its first conference game to Central Wyoming on Tuesday, Nov. 15, 64-49.

Freshman guard Mariah Sheets led the Golden Eagles with nine points and had an assist during the game. Sheets also pulled down three rebounds. Freshman power forward Madison Hamm also had nine rebounds, a team-high for the Golden Eagles. Freshman guard Randi Elisson led the team in assists with two.

At halftime, Central Wyoming led 29-25. The Golden Eagles’ shot percentage was 27.8 percent overall from the floor and 20 percent overall from behind the three-point line.

The Golden Eagles’ next game is at 5 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 18, against Central Wyoming College in Scottsbluff, Nebraska.
