Radiology student makes nationals

A Laramie County Community College radiology student placed in national competition the first week of February.

Some 24 students and two instructors of LCCC’s radiography club attended the Association of Collegiate Educators in Radiologic Technology (ACERT) in Las Vegas.

At the conference, LCCC student Danielle Opp received first place in the student paper competition for her work “PET: A new look into Alzheimer ’s disease.” She also received a cash prize with this honor.

Additionally, LCCC instructor Starla Mason was installed as president of this national organization.
