Delta Kappa Gamma 33rd Annual Book Sale

Delta Kappa Gamma, an international society of women in education, is in the process of starting its 33rd annual book sale. Proceeds go to the fund a Paul Smith Children’s Village at the Cheyenne Botanic Gardens, as well as a $100,000 educational endowment and a number of other projects at the University of Wyoming and Laramie County Community College.

The sale will consist of 80,000 to 90,000 books. The books have been in storage for five to six weeks and continue to grow through donations. Within the past few years, the book sale has brought in tens of thousands of dollars for local educational causes.
Entry is free, paperbacks are $1 and hardcovers are $2. All children’s books of both types are half price. The sale will also include rare books and first editions. Pricing will vary based on online dealers.

The book sale will be held from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, March 5, and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 6. This year’s sale will be at the Carey Junior High School on the Eastridge Wing located on the west end of campus at 1708 E. Pershing Blvd.
