Free tax help available on campus

Free tax help is available from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays through April 12, as well as 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. through April 8 in the Center for Conferences and Institutes, Room 144.

Basic income tax-preparation services and electronic filing will be available through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program to qualified Laramie County residents with low-to moderate-incomes ($54,000-$65,000 or less). Households with a combined income of $62,000 or less are able to use the website myfreetaxes.com. Some additional services are provided by Certified Application Counselors from HealthWorks, who will be able to assist clients with the Affordable Care Act website and registration.

Taxpayers are asked to bring identification, income documents, deductible expenses and a 2015 tax return, if available.

For more information about the VITA program, contact United Way of Laramie County at (307) 638-8904
