CAB celebrates
Equality Day

Video of the “I had a dream…” speech by Martin Luther King Jr. was shown by the Laramie County Community College Campus Activity Board (CAB) in celebration of Wyoming’s Equality Day.

The Jan. 21 presentation in the student lounge showed video clips from the famous march leading up to MLK’s speech.

“The first week of school is always crazy with students trying to figure out their schedule, so we try to accommodate to their schedule as much as we can,” Zeke Sorenson, program manager for the CAB, said. CAB hosts multiple events each semester to educate LCCC student about what CAB provides. The event was put on to emphasize the historical significance of Martin Luther King Jr.’s contributions to today’s society.

The student-funded event provided food and footage of events inspired by MLK. A small number of students attended the activity before noon.
