Gilly Fales Art Awards being held at the Buffalo Bill Art Show, looking for submissions

The 12th annual Gilly Fales Art Award is being held in partnership with the Buffalo Bill Art Show and Sale at the Buffalo Bill Historical Center in Cody, Wyo. Any Wyoming student, 18-30-years-old, who is participating in art-related ventures or majoring in art-related programs is encouraged to enter.

An anonymous jury will decide which two people receive the $500 scholarship. One scholarship will be awarded for two-dimensional art, and another will be awarded for three-dimensional art. The program will accept many forms of original Western art with subjects such as landscape, wildlife/sporting, figurative or Native Americans.

The artists will display their work at the Buffalo Bill Historical Center Aug. 21–Sept. 20 with more than 100 of the best painters and sculptors of the West.

To enter, artists should submit an application and a high-quality slide, photo or digital image to Buffalo Bill Art Show and Sale, Attn: Fales Fine Art Award, 836 Sheridan Avenue, Cody, WY 82414 by May 15.
