LCCC seeking creative help to name new building

Laramie County Community College is seeking help from the campus community to name one of the new buildings under construction. The current name, University & Student Services Building, hopes to be the main centerpiece for the intuition.

The building will be home to several departments including Admissions, the LCCC Bookstore, Student Records, Financial Aid, Counseling and Campus Wellness, Disability Services, Advising & Career Services, University of Wyoming Outreach and Extension, Coffee Shop, a variety of classrooms, science labs, faculty offices and assembly space.

LCCC is looking for names representing functions of the building, iconic people or places or other concepts worth honoring. All name ideas are to be submitted to Sheri Johnson at by March 11. More than one name or idea is allowed and will be discussed at the President’s Cabinet on March 15. However, the President’s Cabinet reserves the right not to choose a building name from the submissions.

Sodexo has offered to provide five free lunches in the LCCC dining center to the person with the chosen building name.
