Fall Sports Preview

Women's Soccer

12-6-0 Overall,
7-1-0 Region IX

Departing players:

Eden Stoddard

  • Madison Duffin, goalkeeper, totaled 60 saves for the season
  • Brittney Crank, midfielder, scored 5 goals for the season
  • Brenda Vazquez, midfielder, scored 7 goals for the season, committed to Metro State University in Colorado.
  • Gabby Garcia, midfielder, had 3 assists for the season, committed to Lincoln Memorial University in Pennsylvania
  • Eden Stoddard, forward, had 12 goals for the season, committed to Fort Hays State University in Kansas

Returning players:

  • Jess Urquhart, goalkeeper, totaled 21 saves for the season
  • Aubri Schneider, defender, had 1 assist for the season
  • Sarah Erikson, defender, had 1 assist for the season
  • Shelbie Myers, defender, had a total of 4 shots for the season
  • Shauni Griffiths, midfielder, had 1 goal and 5 assists for the season
  • Jemma House, forward, had 15 goals and 10 assists for the season
  • Aubrey Gessner, midfielder, had 2 goals and 5 assists for the season

New signings:

  • Abby Morillon, forward, from Cheyenne, Wyoming
  • Lauren Passini, full back, Sheridan, Wyoming
  • Natalie DeMarco, midfielder, Canaberra, Australia
  • Rylea Norris, defender, Rapid City, South Dakota

Coaches call:

“We’re going to have better fitness as well as better team communication,” coach Jim Gardner said.

Men's Soccer

15-5-2 Overall,
10-2-0 Region IX

Stephen Tolliver

Departing players:

  • Jordan Kaubisch, sophomore, defender, had one assist on the year.
  • Kaubisch signed with the University of Mary in Bismarck, North Dakota.
  • Stephen Tolliver, sophomore, forward, had one assist on the year. Tolliver signed with Northwest Nazarene University in Nampa, Idaho.
  • Antonio Chairez, sophomore, goalkeeper, had 75 saves, 10 wins and 4 shutouts on the year. Chairez has not signed yet but has an offer from Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction, Colorado.

Returning players:

  • Rafael Munoz-Vega, freshman, forward/midfielder, had 16 goals, 8 assists and 40 points on the year. Munoz-Vega was the recipient of the Freshman of the Year award for the NJCAA Region IX North Division, was named to the NJCAA Region IX North Division first-team and the NSCAA All-American second-team.
  • Tristan White, freshman, forward, had 10 goals, 4 assists and 24 points on the year. White was named to the NJCAA Region IX North Division second-team.

New signings:

  • Andrew Hayes, goalkeeper from Gillette, Wyoming.
  • Blayne Christensen, center midfielder from Gillette, Wyoming.
  • Anthony Castano, midfielder from Laramie, Wyoming.
  • Nate Johnson, center back and defender from Caldwell, Idaho.

Coaches call:

“Every year we go into the tournament and get knocked out the first or second round,” coach Vince Gibson said. “We’re done with that, we feel like it’s time to represent and get to the national tournament.”

Gibson won this year’s Region IX North Division Coach of the Year.
