3rd annual Mud Run to spread
mental health awareness

Laramie County Community College’s Active Minds chapter, a student organization that brings awareness to mental health challenges, will host its annual 5K Mud Run on Saturday, May 2. It will be held on the LCCC campus between the soccer fields and the Physical Education Building beginning at 11 a.m.. A balloon release is at 12:30 p.m., and the actual run starts at 1 p.m.

This event is intended to raise awareness of mental health issues and suicide prevention both on campus and in the community. It will also serve as a fundraiser to support the local chapter’s mission.

The cost for participation is $15 for individual runners, with the first 50 receiving free T-shirts. For teams of five, the cost is $50.

Door prizes will be awarded for the most creative and best dressed costumes.

Registration is on-site on the day of the event.
