Rodeo team places at CSU

What a stunning performance Laramie County Community College’s rodeo team executed at Colorado State University April 10-12. Almost everyone who placed received first or second in each event.

The men’s team took second with 430 points, and the women’s team placed first with 465 points. The overall standings for the men’s team placed them in seventh place overall with 1872.5 points, and the women’s team move to fourth place with 1,095 points.

In the bull riding event, Brandon Olson placed second with a score of 87. This gave Olson fifth place in the overall standings with 230 points.

In steer wrestling, Austin Willey took second place with a score of 11.8, placing him 10th in the overall standings with 215 points. Tied for third was Kaycee Greer with a score of 12.3, taking 13th with 150 points in the overall standings.

Kalane Anders, first place in the overall standings with 630 points, took fifth in this rodeo event with a score of 13.8.

Terrel Vineyard took second place with a score of 13 in the team roping header event and 10th in the overall standings with 185 points.

Blayne Bradey with a score of 13 took third place in the team roping heeler event and 10th in the overall standings with 185 points.

In the barrel racing event, Jorry Lammers took second with a score of 30.83 and ninth place in overall standings with 220 points. Eighth place was taken by Shianna Lopez with a score of 31.09.

In breakaway roping, second place went to Syerra Christensen with a score of 5.1, also taking second in the overall standings with 450 points. Kelsey Knust took fourth place in the event with a 6.9 score; in the overall standings, Knust is in third place with 230 points.

Tawny Barry took second with a score of 15 in the goat tying contest and fifth place in the overall standings with 310 points.
