LCCC rodeo hits rough patch in Lamar Rodeo

The Laramie County Community College rodeo team hit a bit of a rough patch in Lamar, Colo. Oct. 5-7, as neither the men’s, nor the women’s team placed. The rodeo also saw the men’s team fall to No. 11 in regional standings with 265 points on the season. The women’s team maintained its regional ranking of seventh and has accumulated 260 points on the season.

Mackenzie Fair tied for third in the bull riding with a total of 78 points. He was one of only three members of the men’s team to place in the short go during the weekend.

Quinn Kline and Dalton Harris tied for sixth place as team roping header and team roping heeler respectively. They scored a 16.5 with their combined times. The lone standout from the women was Raelynn Keller, who tied for seventh with a 3.0 score in the breakaway roping.

The LCCC rodeo team will finish its fall season Oct. 12-14 with the annual Shawn Dubie Memorial Rodeo on the LCCC campus.
