Eagles looking forward
to regional tournament

Winning the final nonconference volleyball match of the season against U.S. Air Force Prep on Oct. 25, the Laramie County Community College women’s volleyball team ended its season on a three-game winning streak going into the regional tournament Oct. 31-Nov. 3.

Leading the way for the Eagles Thursday night, Alex Manolova had 10 kills, two solo blocks and seven digs, while McKenzie Long did her part with 47 assists. With the win, the Eagles will enter the Region IX tournament with three straight wins dating to Oct. 20 when the Eagles battled back against Sheridan College from two sets down.

Looking back over the 13-15 season, coach Darren Buckner said the team had some really good matches in addition to some bad ones. He said consistencey has been an issue throughout the season.
