Take time to try Timeful

New app boosts productivity, time management

As a college student, you’re busy, and time is important. With so much to do, it can be hard to remember it all. A planner or calendar app can record only what needs to be done, but the new app Timeful takes that a step further.

Timeful allows users to schedule a wide array of tasks such as events, to do lists and healthy habits. It then uses artificial intelligence to learn when you get the most done and how to schedule tasks to optimize your efficiency.

This new app is very easy to use. Tasks can be characterized as personal, work, fun, important, custom or habit. The names and colors of these tasks can even be changed to fit your personalized needs. It will also import tasks and events like birthdays already created in your phone’s calendar and your email’s calendar.

User friendly

It then allows users a choice to schedule tasks today, tomorrow, on a specific day, sometime in the next seven days or any time before a specific date. It will then place the task along with any others. If you don’t like where it’s at, it allows tasks to be rearranged or edited.

Once placed, tasks can be crossed out if completed or moved to the next day if it didn’t get done. This way tasks don’t have to be entered over and over again. Tasks that need to get done every day, like homework, can be scheduled as a habit and always appear. Or they can be scheduled as events and appear specifically as a class assignment, or whatever the occasion may be, and be scheduled every day, every week, every other week, every month or every year.

A daily calendar displays tasks by hour and a convenient monthly view. This allows users to schedule entire weeks or months in advance. You’ll never forget about that exam coming up in two weeks or your mom’s birthday next month.

Get reminders that day as well as schedule a study session or some gift shopping time. Reminders for tasks come as notifications.

Timeful also helps make time for those tasks that seem to elude us each day, like walking the dog or going to the gym. It’ll pencil in the task for you around your other obligations so that “I didn’t have the time” can no longer be an excuse. It allows users to choose how many days a week they want to do it and which days work best.

App highly intelligent

The makers of the app boast its intelligence. Settings allow the app to recognize when to schedule tasks. It asks for your work schedule and what time of day you’re most productive. But over time, the app recognizes what times the most gets really done and learns to schedule the important tasks at that time.

The design of Timeful is simplistic and easy to use. Only five buttons take you wherever you need to go within the app: the calendar, settings, today view, add event and the see all to-dos buttons. Clicking each will take you to an easy-to-use page where you can look at a large calendar, change settings, view today’s tasks, add to do lists and see all upcoming to do lists.

Another great feature is nothing is permanent in Timeful. Users can always edit, reschedule, delete and uncross completed tasks. Nothing is set in stone, and life changes often, so it’s great this app understands and allows for that.

Timeful is available for free on IOS devices, a demo web version, and coming soon to Android devices.

Timeful is great at scheduling your life for you. Time is important, especially in college, so Timeful can help you use that time effectively.
