LCCC women's soccer team heads to Nationals

LCCC travels to Melbourn, Florida for NJCAA tournament

The Laramie County Community College women’s soccer team punched its ticket to the NJCAA tournament on Saturday, Nov. 7.

The Golden Eagles first beat Utah State Eastern College on Friday, Nov. 6, 3-0. It was a dominating effort by the Golden Eagles as they held USU scoreless throughout the game. Erin Elder scored two of the three goals for the Golden Eagles.

LCCC then moved on to the regional finals to play Otero Junior College. The women lost twice to Otero during the regular season. The outcome was different for LCCC as the team beat Otero 3-2. Logan Garard, Eden Stoddard and Jemma House made the goals for LCCC.

LCCC will travel to Melbourne, Florida, to compete in the NJCAA tournament that begins on Nov. 16.

The Eagles will play the number 3 team in the nation, Iowa Central Community College. The game will begin at 10:30 a.m. Mountain time, Nov. 16 and will be broadcasted at njcaatv.com.
