Womens soccer team extends its winning streak to 14
The Laramie County Community College women’s soccer team defeated Northeastern Junior College 7-0 in the Region IX Quarterfinals on Saturday, Oct. 22.
This win extends the Golden Eagles win streak to 14, and the team will move on to the Region IX Semi-finals where it faces Western Wyoming Community College at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 29 at Metro State University.
The 16-1-1 Golden Eagles scored early and didn’t let up. Forward Jemma House added two goals to her season total in the match. House is ranked No. 8 in the nation in goals with 25. Midfielder Nikita Woods also scored two goals in the match. Midfielders Shauni Griffiths and Abby Morillon each added two more assists to their season totals. Griffiths is ranked No. 9 in the nation in assists with 16 and Morillon is ranked No. 16 in the nation with 14. Goalie Jess Urquhart had one save.
