Golden Eagles volleyball stands 5-5 going into WYO-Braska Tournament

Midway through a tough stretch of away games, the Golden Eagles’ volleyball team found themselves with a 1–2 record.

Laramie County Community College started off going stride for stride against Northwest College, before being swept 3–0 out of the gym (25-27, 19-25 and 23-25).

Returning to the court a day later, the Golden Eagles started off a little flat before getting into rhythm against Central Wyoming College. Unfortunately, it hurt the Golden Eagles, who were unable to pull themselves back. They ended up losing 3-0 (19-25, 19-25 and 23-25).

Trying to get things going in the right way, the Golden Eagles turned around and headed for Colorado Springs, where they took on Air Force Prep.  During the match, the Golden Eagles were finally able to reach a travel goal of playing in the moment. They came from behind to win the second and fourth games after losing the first game 27-29. Overall, the Golden Eagles won the match 3-1 (27-29, 25-20, 25-22 and 25-20).

The Golden Eagles will return to the floor in Torrington, for the WYO-Braska Tournament Sept. 23–24 before playing Eastern Wyoming College Sept. 27 in their last away match of the month. They head back home for a stretch of five matches starting Sept. 30 against Dawson Community College.
