Men's soccer split home games

Laramie County Community College's men's soccer team spilt the two matchups they had Sept. 26-28.

On Sept. 28, LCCC took on Utah State University-College of Eastern Utah (5-4-2) in Cheyenne and got the shutout win 1-0. The lone goal in that game came from Dennis Vivar-Diaz, with an assist from Junior Quiroz, in the 78th minute of the second half.

The other opponent LCCC faced off against was Western Nebraska Community College (5-2-2) on Sept. 26 at home. Western Nebraska CC was too much for LCCC; they scored three late second-half goals and went on to win 4-2. Goals in that game for LCCC came both from Quiroz with an assist from Willy Salamanca.

Currently, the Eagles are 6-4 overall and 2-2 in conference, which has LCCC sitting in third place in the north region of Region IX.

LCCC will face more conference opponents of Otero Junior College (5-4) on Oct. 3 and No. 13 Trinidad State Junior College (10-0) on Oct. 4. Both games will take place in Cheyenne.
