Student places fourth in breakaway roping event

LCCC Rodeo team didn't have enough competitors to qualify for team standings

The Laramie County Community College rodeo team competed at the Sheridan College rodeo from Sept. 23-Oct. 25.

Few LCCC rodeo athletes competed in this rodeo and therefore, neither the men’s nor the women’s team had enough competitors to qualify for team standings.

LCCC had two athletes that competed in the steer wrestling event, Cameron Fanning and Reed Johnson. Fanning earned 7th with a score of 6.5 and Johnson earned 8th with a score of 8.2.

The rodeo team had one athlete that competed in the barrel racing event, Linzee Adamson, who earned 9th with a score of 32.03.

The Golden Eagles had one athlete who competed in the breakaway roping event, Bailey Tibbs, who earned 4th with a time of 5.9.

The LCCC rodeo team’s next competition will be at Lamar Community College Sept. 30-Oct. 2.
