Missing property

An individual reported to Campus Safety and Security (CSAS) that he lost a silver-chain bracelet that contained $60–$80. The total value was approximately $100. The lost and found was notified.

A resident of the Residence Hall stepped on a construction-type staple, which penetrated the resident’s big toe. The resident sought treatment at Express Care where the wound was cleaned and wrapped.

Larceny

A student in the cafeteria had his identification card taken. An investigation revealed it was taken by a friend, who would return it to him.

Found property

A billfold was found in Student Services and turned CSAS. It contained numerous forms of identification including a debit card and Social Security card. It also contained approximately $16. The billfold was put in the CSAS property vault and returned to the owner later that day.

Four sets of DVD cables were taken from different rooms in the auto body department. Total value was $36.

A set of keys was found in parking lot D and turned into CSAS. They were locked in the CSAS property vault.

Property Damage

While patrolling through the Residence Hall, CSAS found a hole in a wall larger than a fist. Maintenance was notified.

CSAS was approached by an individual in parking lot F who complained of tar on car tires that had put black marks on the right headlight cover and fender.

CSAS received a cellphone found in the Arp Building and placed in the CSAS property vault. The owner later recovered it.

Alcohol

Numerous individuals were observed drinking in the east Residence Hall parking lot. Some fled, but those who remained were cited by the Laramie County Sheriff’s Department for minor in possession.

Irate employee

A cafeteria employee became upset and yelled profanities. CSAS escorted him from the building without any problems.

Emergency callbox notification

An individual needing assistance used the callbox in the west Residence hall parking lot. CSAS found she needed help with a vehicle.

Vehicle accident

Two vehicles were involved in an accident in parking lot F caused by one backing out of a parking space and striking the other vehicle. Damage was estimated at $1,000. The Laramie County Sherriff’s Department was notified.

A resident of the Residence Hall reported a battery. The Laramie County Sheriff’s Department was consulted.

A student reported his vehicle had been broken into and a textbook had been taken. The value was $137. The bookstore was notified in case someone attempted to sell the book back.

An individual made some statements that concerned employees working in Student Services, who then requested the presence of CSAS. A report was taken.

Medical

While entering Student Services, an individual scraped her shoulder against a piece of weather stripping hanging off the door and received a one-inch cut on her upper right arm. She did not require medical attention.

Loose livestock

CSAS was notified of a loose horse outside the stall area. The manager of agriculture and equine facilities handled the matter.

A wallet from the Fine Arts Building was relinquished to CSAS, placed in the CSAS property vault and returned to the owner the next day.

Standby

CSAS along with a member of the Laramie County Sheriff’s Department was asked to stand by in the board room for the trustees’ meeting because of a potential disruptive person. The person did not appear.

CSAS received a lost credit card from the Community College Center. The owner of the card was contacted by phone, and the card was returned.

Books valued at $270 were stolen from a car. The Cheyenne Police Department took the report, and the bookstore was notified.

Medical

While cleaning the lights in a College Community Center hallway, an individual cut a finger. The wound was bandaged, and the flow of blood stopped.

A person in the Science Building said $22 and a financial aid check of $278, for a total of $300, was removed from a purse. The Laramie County Sherriff’s Department was notified.
