SGA approves pizza for election day

Laramie County Community College Student Government Association’s Sept. 9 meeting spent time making arrangements for elections Sept. 16.

The elections committee confirmed that pizza will be present with an assortment of toppings available. The motion for the budget of $221, after much deliberation, was approved for the elections as well. Ten dollars will be allotted for decorations, $180 for the pizza, and the rest for miscellaneous use.

The election period will start at 8 a.m. on Sept. 16. The committee is in the process of procuring 10 laptops for a fast voting process. Four applications for senators are under review.

Two proposals were brought to SGA’s attention. The first was for a blood drive to be held in the first week of October. The second was for a campus or highway cleanup project estimated to take place in November. The highway cleanup would be along College Drive.

Volunteers will be needed if the proposals are approved.
