Men’s soccer team loses third straight game

Laramie County Community College men’s soccer team is still winless after Saturday’s game against Utah State University Eastern, in Cheyenne.

Tristan White, a forward and first year student, was first to put LCCC on the board thanks to the assistance of freshman forward Rafael Munoz. Later, USU Eastern’s Luis Rico scored to tie it up towards the end of the first period, and USU Eastern’s Andres Garza helped the away team put it away by scoring near the end of the second period.

USU Easter won by a final score of 2-1. The loss drops the LCCC to 0-3.

While the Eagles have lost all three games this season, two of those losses have come against No. 2 Yavapai College and No. 8 Iowa Western.

LCCC looks to rebound on Wednesday, Sept. 9, when it takes on Western Wyoming Community College (3-1-2) on its home field.

The game starts at 1 p.m., and, as always, admission is free.
