Former LCCC Instructor dies at 43

A former Laramie County Community College instructor, Austin James, aka Brian Boyle, 43, died July 30.

He was born Brian Boyle in Hawaii on March 29, 1969. He was raised in Virginia Beach, Va.

He served five and a half years in the U.S. Marine Corps as a communications specialist and then attended the University of Wyoming. At UW, he earned a master’s degree in zoology and education and was honored as a top student in 1996.

He was an instructor at LCCC and various other colleges and universities and was also employed by QRC, servicing coal trains for the power plant in Wheatland. He later quit teaching to follow his dream of traveling the country and became an over-the-road truck driver for Weiner Enterprises.

He is survived by his father and stepmother, Ed Boyle and Roberta Anderson, of Fredericksburg, Va.

At the request of Austin, there were no services, but friends may send donations for the care of his yellow Labrador retriever, Ducky, to Loretta Henry, c/o Laramie County Community College, 1400 E. College Dr., Cheyenne, WY 82007.

Cremation took place at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens under the direction of Wiederspahn-Radomsk Chapel.
