Eagles earn second straight victory in conference line up

The Laramie County Community College women’s volleyball team won its second straight conference match of the season Sept. 28 over Sheridan College.

After starting conference play 0-3, the team has completely turned its play around and has won its last two matches. The team started off slowly, losing the first set 24-26 but once again turned the match into a positive, taking the next three sets.

Regardless of the end result, the match was a special one for Jemma Woods and her sister, Tessa, who played on opposite sides for the first time after playing together at Central High School.

Moving into the second half of play, LCCC’S head coach, Darren Buckner, said he believed his team will be able to play with anyone as long as they stay consistent.
