Kasey Orr

My name is Kasey M. Orr, and I am returning to Cheyenne after a seven-year adventure out in the world. I joined the U.S Army in 2005 and served as a Cavalry Scout in a reconnaissance unit in the 2nd Brigade, 1st Armored Division. Stationed in Baumholder, Germany, I was deployed twice to Iraq. After finishing my terms of service, I moved back to the U.S. to Denver, having been accepted to the Art Institute of Colorado.

There I studied film and video production for several years before working for a small start-up production company as a writer, producer and director. As the market became tight and the economy took its toll, I moved back to Cheyenne to enjoy some time at home and continue my education, working toward a degree in advertising and marketing. I am a proud nerd, enjoying physics jokes while watching “Dr. Who” and playing Skyrim. My favorite thing in the world is storytelling. I have authored and produced a number of documentaries and short films, worked on several independent film crews, and am now glad to have multiple mediums in which to tell the stories of the Laramie County Community College campus with Wingspan. Joining the ranks of the Co-editors, I am excited for a fun year!
